Pastors Craig and Dorothy Teddy are the founding senior pastors of New Beginnings Family Church, a thriving community rooted in the Word of Faith message and centered on living out God’s promises. Both graduates of Rhema Bible College in 1984, they left behind successful careers and followed God’s call to build a ministry that has since become a spiritual cornerstone in Mustang, Oklahoma. Their dedication, faith, and perseverance have made a lasting impact, inspiring generations to live abundant, overcoming lives grounded in the Word of God.

Together, they lead by both precept and example, teaching that God’s Word is the foundation for overcoming every challenge. Their shared vision for New Beginnings Family Church centers on seeing their congregation excel in faith, even in the face of adversity. Through vibrant sermons, empowering teachings, and hands-on leadership, they teach people to embrace their authority in Christ, making a positive impact on their lives and the world around them.

In addition to their pastoral work, Pastors Craig and Dorothy serve as Regional Directors for Rhema Bible College in Oklahoma, where they mentor and support fellow Rhema ministers across the region. Their commitment to connecting, communicating, and caring for others in ministry further exemplifies their dedication to God’s work and their community.

Pastor Craig Teddy

Formerly a successful businessman, Pastor Craig made the bold decision to leave behind his career to fully embrace God’s calling for his life and his family. Pastor Dorothy Teddy

Pastor Dorothy is the inspiring senior pastor and co-founder of New Beginnings Family Church. With a dynamic personality and unshakeable faith, Pastor Dorothy has built a church community rooted in the belief that God’s Word is the final authority in every circumstance. Her personal journey of healing and faith—defying a life-threatening diagnosis with just fourteen days to live—serves as a powerful testament to God’s promises and has inspired countless lives within and beyond the congregation.

Pastor Dorothy’s courage and resilience have paved the way for women in ministry, establishing her as a respected voice of spiritual wisdom and insight. Through her anointed teaching, she encourages believers to embrace the transformative power of God’s Word, challenging them to live victoriously and overcome obstacles through faith. Her practical and empowering messages resonate deeply, equipping the church body to apply biblical principles in every aspect of their lives. Her dedication to the church’s growth, unity, and mission is evident in everything she does. Meet The Team

Jason Teddy - Associate Pastor

Known for his warmth, humor, and down-to-earth approach, Pastor Jason Teddy, affectionately called "Pastor Jay," has been a beloved part of the New Beginnings Family Church family since its inception as part of the founding family. He graduated from Rhema Bible College in 1994. He was Youth Pastor for 20 years (1994-2004) - Pastor Jay’s dedication to nurturing young hearts in faith has left a lasting impact, and his transition to Associate Pastor has only broadened his influence across the entire congregation.

Pastor Jay is known for his unique preaching style, blending humor and relatable, real-life applications with powerful biblical insights that make the Word accessible and relevant. Congregants look forward to his engaging messages, each one sprinkled with a touch of humor and his signature food references, which add a personal and memorable touch to his sermons.

With a heart for both fellowship and spiritual growth, Pastor Jay has been instrumental in strengthening church programs and community outreach, ensuring that New Beginnings Family Church remains a welcoming and inspiring place for all. His dedication to the church's mission of faith, unity, and service continues to inspire the congregation, fostering an environment of support, laughter, and encouragement as they grow together in Christ.

Nicole Payne - Associate Pastor

Associate Pastor Nicole Payne has been a foundational member of the ministry at New Beginnings Family Church, serving with dedication, vision, and a deep love for God’s people. From a young age, Nicole demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to ministry; at just seven years old, she authored the church’s first Sunday school curriculum and became the very first Sunday school teacher. Her lifelong dedication to the church’s mission has shaped her into a respected leader.

Nicole’s dynamic personality and commitment to her parents’ legacy—teaching God’s people His fullness—have made her an integral part of the church. Her approachable and compassionate nature allows her to connect with people of all ages, inspiring them to deepen their faith and apply biblical truths in their daily lives. Through her guidance, New Beginnings Family Church has implemented impactful programs that nurture spiritual growth and community outreach.

As Associate Pastor, she has been instrumental in developing programs that build on the church’s mission, such as youth and children’s activities providing outreach to the community, which reflect her commitment to service and her belief in the transformative power of faith.

Sheila Smith - Children's Director

Affectionately known as "Miss Sheila," has been a cherished leader at New Beginnings Family Church for over 40 years. A charter member and longtime board trustee, Sheila’s unwavering dedication and passion for children’s ministry have helped shape the church’s vision of raising a generation grounded in faith. As the Children’s Director, she leads with warmth, joy, and a steadfast commitment to nurturing young hearts.

With a formal background in early childhood development, Sheila brings valuable expertise and insight to her role. Her approach combines her academic foundation with a deep personal faith, creating an environment where children can grow in their understanding of Christ in ways they remember and cherish. She oversees every aspect of the Super Kids' Academy, as well as the Toddler and Nursery classes, ensuring that each program is both engaging and spiritually enriching.

Sheila’s influence extends beyond the classroom; the children she teaches carry her lessons with them, often sharing what they’ve learned with family and friends. Her creative teaching style, along with the dedication of her team, has made the children’s classes a time that children look forward to each week.

Through her leadership, Sheila continues to be a pillar of New Beginnings Family Church, helping the church family grow in unity, faith, and service. Her enduring commitment to raising a generation that knows and loves Christ embodies the mission of the church, inspiring the entire congregation.

Luke Walker - Youth Leader - Pulse Youth Group

Luke Walker is our fearless youth leader of the Pulse Youth Group, bringing over a decade of experience to guide and uplift young lives. Luke was raised with a strong Christian foundation at New Beginnings Family Church from a young age, starting in the 6th grade and growing in faith through his early years. He went on to attend Rhema Bible College, where he earned a diploma in Youth Ministry and was ordained, fully equipping him to address the unique challenges and questions today’s youth encounter.

Returning to his roots at New Beginnings, Luke has committed himself to teaching the truth with love, staying steadfast in the Word of God while engaging in open and honest conversations with young people. His goal is to help each individual build a personal and lasting relationship with the Lord, extending far beyond their time at church. The group’s motto, “If you have a pulse, you have a purpose,” reflects his conviction that every young person has a meaningful role in God’s plan.

Luke is powerfully supported by his wife, Myriah, who plays an integral role in Pulse Youth. Myriah’s dedication to studying the Word and her compassionate heart bring a creative and nurturing spirit to the group, enhancing their experience with activities that strengthen both their faith and friendships. Together, Luke and Myriah create an inspiring, supportive environment, guiding youth to grow in faith, purpose, and community.

Praise and Worship Team

Welcome to the Praise and Worship Ministry at New Beginnings Family Church! Led by Pastor Dorothy, our worship team is dedicated to creating a powerful atmosphere where people can experience God's presence, be renewed, and connect deeply through music. Each team member brings unique gifts and a passion for worship, united with a single purpose: to lead the congregation into life-changing encounters with God.

Our vocalists—Pastor Dorothy, Sheila Smith, and Trisha Hoss—carry the message of worship with warmth and sincerity. Their voices blend beautifully, setting a tone that invites everyone to sing along and lift their hearts to the Lord.

The instrumentalists are equally passionate and skilled. Christopher Tolle brings energy and precision on lead guitar, while Luke Walker provides a steady foundation on bass guitar. Julia August and Jesse Hargis drive the rhythm on drums, adding a dynamic beat that resonates throughout the sanctuary. Completing the ensemble, Jerri Hargis plays keyboard, filling each song with depth and texture, and creating a sound that lifts worship to a new level.

Together, this team works in harmony, guided by Pastor Dorothy's leadership and the Holy Spirit's prompting. Their commitment to excellence, heart for service, and love for the Lord bring them together to help us worship and experience God in a powerful way each week.
